OUR WORK

Safe Trick-or-Treat Fall Festival

The Rundberg Alliance Fall Festival is an annual celebration that brings together the community for an evening of fun, cultural activities, and connection along Rundberg Lane. Featuring local performances, family-friendly games, and a safe trick-or-treat environment, this event is a beloved tradition that fosters unity and pride in the Rundberg neighborhood year after year.

Multicultural Spring Festival

The inaugural Rundberg Alliance Spring Festival on April 13th, 2024, was a vibrant celebration of our community's diversity, featuring performances, a Market Day, and a Makers Fair along Rundberg Lane. This annual event continues to unite, inspire, and foster pride in the Rundberg community, with each year bringing new opportunities to learn and connect.

The Gift of Giving

300+ Dobie Middle school students selected gifts to wrap and gift to a younger sibling as well as picking up coats, PPE, books and household care items. The project was created in collaboration with many neighborhood partners. Watch you video here!

Youth Equity Summit

On April 23rd 2022 the Rundberg Alliance gathered Middle School students from across the area to talk with community leaders about the issues they think are important and explore ways that they, and the community that supports them, can find opportunities for civic action.

Student Civics Forum

Students and community leaders gathered at Guerrero Thompson Elementary School to participate in conversations facilitated by trained Lanier High School students. These conversations helped surface issues that students care about in their neighborhood, and started conversation about the types of changes they want to see happen.

The Trash Can Project

In partnership with all the schools along Rundberg Lane, the Rundberg Alliance worked with the City of Austin to paint trash cans that were placed near each school in school colors: Barrington Elementary School, Dobie Middle School, Dobie Pre-School, Guerrero Thompson Elementary, Harmony Science Academy, and Idea Rundberg.

Barrington Cicstern

In collaboration with students from the Rundberg Alliance, local artist Natalia Rochefuerte painted the cistern at Barrington Elementary School in their new rain garden. The images on the cistern are from drawings done by school students.
